Create a useful campus inventory
Count devices by campus, type, model, and condition. Distinguish working units, repair candidates, missing accessories, and visibly damaged devices. Flag equipment with battery issues for a separate handling discussion.
Keep loaned, leased, grant-funded, and district-owned equipment identifiable so the responsible staff can review the applicable disposition process. GreenLink does not determine whether a district is authorized to sell, transfer, or dispose of a particular asset.
Coordinate data and device management
Have your authorized IT team define how student and staff information will be handled and which management or enrollment steps are required. Do not share student records, account passwords, or administrator credentials in a general project inquiry.
Some devices may need administrative release before reuse can be considered. Your team should coordinate that release with its policies and approved data process. Discuss data handling and evidence requirements before the hardware changes hands.
Work backward from campus access dates
State when devices can leave classrooms, when staging areas become available, and who will be on campus for the handoff. Multi-campus projects should identify an on-site contact and approximate quantities for each location.
Include your purchasing requirements and any reports or vendor qualifications the district needs to review. Service dates, fees, acceptance, and documentation must be agreed before collection; no existing school district contract or approved-vendor status is implied.
For devices that may retain value, asset recovery can be reviewed alongside recycling. There is no guaranteed payment or fixed revenue share for school equipment.
Common questions
Can this include more than one school?
Yes, a project inquiry can cover multiple campuses. Include an equipment count, location, and access contact for each site so the combined scope can be reviewed.
Is GreenLink running public school collection events?
No public event schedule is currently announced. This page concerns school-owned equipment projects; a community collection event would need separate planning and confirmation.
